James Thomas possesses a broad range of experience in the business of residential sales. With a comprehensive understanding of all aspects of the real estate market in the Hamptons, James’ attention to detail and his commitment to his clients’ best interests guides his buyers and sellers through every step of the often complicated process. James works in close partnership with his clients, focusing on their individual needs, their varying lifestyles and most importantly, their hopes and aspirations.
Originally from Virginia, James moved to New York after attending Washington & Lee University and began work on Madison Avenue in the advertising business at Young & Rubicam. He later worked in the pharmaceutical industry at Bristol Myers Squibb.
James’ transition to the real estate business began almost twenty years ago and he has worked successfully in the industry ever since – first in Manhattan selling condos and co-ops and then in the Hamptons selling and renting houses of every description with a primary focus on properties from Southampton Village to Sagaponack. With dual real estate licenses in both Manhattan and Southampton, James offers proficiency in both markets which quite often overlap.
Locally, James is an active supporter of the Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons and is the owner of a feisty Jack Russell terrier. He is also a supporter of the Parrish Art Museum in Water Mill, NY and resides in the Village of Southampton and is active throughout the East End. So whether you are looking to sell, buy or rent an East End home, James will patiently and expertly guide you through the process from start to finish and beyond.
